MISS TYNE & WEAR GB 2018 – (INCORPORATING MISS GREAT BRITAIN)

RULES OF ELIGIBILITY

Qualifications for eligibility are that each contestant:

Shall not be less than 18 years of age and no more than 27 years of age on the 30th August of the year of the Miss Great Britain 2018 final.  If she is 17 years old at the time of the Miss Tyne & Wear GB final, she may still enter the Miss Tyne & Wear GB final providing she is 18 years old by the time of the Miss Tourism World Final in 2019.

Miss Tyne and Wear GB is open to anyone, including previous and existing title holders with it being a new title, every application will be judged fairly.

Shall not have participated in a National Contest conducted by another organisation within and on the soil of the mainland of her National Area (unless special permission has been given in writing by the Promoter due to extenuating circumstances) within 12 months prior to the holding of the Miss Great Britain Contest.

Shall be a British citizen and reside in the North East of England.

Shall have won or been elected as a winner of her Area Heat Contest elected specifically to participate in the appropriate Miss Great Britain Contest or be first runner-up if the winner is prevented by reasons beyond her control from participating (subject to the right as the Promoter to waive or amend the requirement if in its absolute discretion nominated persons are unable unfit or otherwise unqualified to participate in The Miss Great Britain contest and subject to the right of the Promoter to reject without giving any reason any application by a contestant to enter the Miss Great Britain Contest) 

Shall be of good character and possessed of charm, poise, personality and have beauty offace and figure and not have posed nude or topless.

Shall be a person whose background is not likely to bring in to disrepute the Miss Great Britain Contest, title, Promoter or affiliated Charities by doing any work related activities that could be seen to be bring the Miss Great Britain Contest into Disrepute.

Shall be a person whose does not have a criminal record. I understand that this may result in the title being taken away.

Shall be a person of good moral character; that she has not committed and will not commit any act inconsistent with the highest standards of public morals and conventions or that will reflect unfavorably on the pageant, its representatives, sponsors and/or licensees; that she has not appeared in, or posed for, any nude or provocative photographs prior to, leading to the Miss Tyne and Wear final, or during your reign should you win the title.

Shall be a person who will conduct themselves in a courteous, professional manner at all times during the the Miss Tyne and Wear competition. Good sportsmanship is expected at all times. Disruptive behavior before, during, or after the pageant may result in disqualification.
Has never taken part in any Contest for qualification to represent another country.

Who has never previously won The Miss Great Britain Contest.

Who has never posed nude or topless and has had nothing in their background that may harm the Miss Great Britain brand.

Will have secured sash sponsorship from a third party or themselves to the value of £350.00 no later than four calendar weeks prior to the final. It is understood that failure to achieve this condition could result in entrants losing their place in the Final. (we do have a number of companies associated with Miss Tyne and Wear who will sponsor a finalist, so they may select you should be a finalist) We ask you to try your best to secure a sash sponsor. If you are a confirmed finalist and are sponsored and decide to drop out, you agree that you will be responsible for paying the sponsor back. Unless agreed with all parties that the sponsorship goes to another finalist if one is available. 

You agree that you will be available for the final on Saturday 26th May 2018 and to attend rehearsals. If you are selected as a finalist you agree that Miss Tyne and Wear GB will be the only competition or pageant you will enter run by a similar agency or promotional company where is it deemed to be a conflict of interest. (We ask you to check with the organisers before signing up to any other competition.  If you do sign up you may lose your place in Miss Tyne and Wear GB and you will be responsible for paying back any sponsor money paid. 

You agree to inform us if you have applied or are applying to any reality Television series.

You agree that you must raise money for our chosen charity should you be selected as a finalist. Help will be provided by our chosen charities and you agree to attend the briefing for the charity. You must attend the charity briefing, date to be confirmed.

You agree to be active on social media and promote yourself as a finalist and the completion.

You agree you will supply the organisers with a print quality headshot for inclusion in the brochure. We will arrange a training day for this to be done free of charge along with catwalk training.

It is required that the winner of any Miss GB event in the North East organised by Headline Models Ltd, will signed exclusively to Headline Models Ltd for the year she holds the title.  Should the contestant be signed up to another agency, the contestant must terminate their contract with their previous agency upon winning one of the titles. The winner will also be available for any launch, press / media charity engagements as and when available. 

Miss Great Britain Masterclass will be hosting a finalists training day and it is compulsory should you win the title you are applying for you must attend.  The free Masterclass will take place in Leicester at the Grand Hotel on Friday 10th August 2018. 

Should you win the title you apply for, you must be available for The Miss Great Britain Final which will take place on 13th and 14th September 2018, the Friday 14th  being the evening of the ‘Big’ final.  The final will be hosted at The Athena in Leicester.

Should you win the title you apply for, you agree that you will not enter another pageant during the year you hold the Miss title.

Should you win the title at Miss Tyne and Wear GB your place at the Miss Great Britain final is secure and you will not need to find another sponsor. Your place includes food and accommodation for the two days in Leicester (excluding travel)

Novellus Aesthetics is the sponsor for Miss Tyne and Wear GB and the year of the title. Should you win Miss Tyne and Wear you agree to be available for up to three personal appearances to promote this company.

SAVE THAT the Promoter in its absolute discretion may waive or amend any of these conditions (if in his/her opinion such waiver or amendment is conducive to the successful running of the Contest) & I hereby give permission for the use of my name and face to promote the competition where required in the press and media.
